Best of Kenya is a seven day road safari to Samburu national park, Mount Kenya,Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Game Reserve, with some lovely accommodation lodges offered around.
The Samburu National Reserve, is a relatively small park located 220kms north of Nairobi, with a unique landscapes of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. Small herds of elephant, buffalo,a prowl of leopard, seldom a coalition of cheetahs and plains game are present but a special feature of this Reserve are the various species of game unique to these northern parks - Beisa oryx, the long necked gerenuk, Grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue legged Somali ostrich.
Lake Nakuru is one of the greatest worlds famous bird spectacles with over 400 bird species besides the pink flamingoes that plume the lake. Many species of game are resident here including the Rothschild giraffe, water-buck, reed-buck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and with blessings, a solitary Lion.
Masai Mara Game Reserve is the most spectacular of all Kenyan parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five, plus a herd of plains game. Prides of black-manned lion are present in abundance. As home to the seventh wonder of the world occasioned by the annual wildebeest and zebra migration, the thrill of this safari location is overwhelming.

Safari itinerary:
Day 1: on arrival drive to Samburu
our safari crew meets you at the airport or we pick you up at your hotel in Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya heading north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Lodge in time for lunch.The travel time is average five hours, so after refreshing and some rest, do an afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge for your full-board experience.

Day 2: A full day of Samburu
Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. During the day, temperatures may rise but the oasis that is your lodge, should accord you some serious comfort, what with the coolness of river Uaso Ngiro! Savour all that Samburu has to offer her visitors in terms of flora and fauna. All meals and the overnight at Samburu Lodge on full board.

Day 3: Mountain Lodge - a tree lodge or Forest Castle Lodge
After breakfast, drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving Serena Mountain Lodge or Forest Castle Loge which is a tree hotel. After three hours on the Kenyan roads, am sure some rest and Relax is in order.While away your afternoon watching game from the balcony of your room or go for an optional guided nature walk. Overnight floodlit game viewing - Mountain Lodge rightfully boasts of having the highest record of animal visits and sightings in the area.

Day 4: Great views plus Lake Nakuru
Depart Mountain Lodge in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley - to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at the Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, savor some game viewing, with sure sightings of the Rhino, buffalo not forgetting the resident birds.

Day 5: Rumble to Masai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara arriving Mara Sarova game Lodge in time for lunch. Get thrilled with an afternoon introductory game drive before returning to the lodge for an overnight on full-board accommodation.

Day 6: A whole day of Masai Mara
Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. There is abundant game viewing today. You can decide to do two game drives_ an early one (when predators are on the prowl) and an afternoon one.Or cart your lunch boxes after breakfast and spend the whole day in the park.

Day 7: cruise to Nairobi
Another early morning game drive in Mara.Checking out leisurely as you cruise to Nairobi. Here you enjoy lunch hot at any of the restaurants before transferring to the airport or to your hotel to cap your 7 day safari with us..
