Start your 7 day safari in the Shaba game reserve a relatively small park located 220kms north of Nairobi, with a unique landscapes of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. Small herds of elephant, buffalo,a prowl of leopard, a coalition of cheetahs and plains game are present but a special feature of this Reserve are the various species of wildlife unique to these northern parks - Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue legged Somali ostrich. Aberdares is an isolated volcanic range that forms the Eastern wall of the Rift valley, running about 100 km north south between Nairobi and the Thompson falls.Home to majestic moorlands, peaks, falls, Large herds of elephant and other ungulates roam here. The highlight is where game viewing is done from the comfort of your accommodation balcony at the floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Lake Nakuru is famous for being a sanctuary to over 400 bird species besides the pink flamingos that plume the lake. Many species of game are resident here including the Rothschild giraffe, water buck, reed buck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and a guaranteed sighting of the Rhino.. Masai Mara Game Reserve is the most spectacular of all Kenyan parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five, plus a herd of plains game. As home to the seventh wonder of the world occasioned by the annual wildebeest and zebra migration, you will be overwhelmed by the expansive open spaces Safari itinerary: Day 1: Drive to Shaba our safari crew meets you at the airport or we pick you from your hotel in Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya heading north across the equator to Shaba game Reserve You will check in at the sarova Shaba game camp for your full board accommodation. After lunch and rest, venture out to sample what is on offer in this northern frontier park. Day 2: A full day in the Shaba Full day in Shaba, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. During the day, temperatures may rise but the oasis that is your lodge,accords you some awesome comfort, what with the coolness of river Uaso Ngiro! You may also wish to visit the local Samburu village Day 3: The Tree tops a tree lodge After breakfast, check out viewing game as you drive south into central Kenya, flanked by mount Kenya. Lunch will be served at base camp, the out span hotel. In the afternoon, you will discard your rig and safari driver ( albeit for today only), and be taken to the tree tops where you'll enjoy a night full of game viewing from the comfort of your lodge the tree tops, which has a floodlit waterhole and salt lick.
Day 4: Great views plus Lake Nakuru leave the tree tops for base camp where your safari rig and crew awaits. You will cruise to the floor of the Rift Valley - to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at the Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, savor some game viewing, with sure sightings of the Rhino, buffalo not forgetting the resident birds. Day 5: Rumble to plains of Masai Mara Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara arriving Mara sarova game camp in time for lunch. Get thrilled with an afternoon introductory game drive before returning to the lodge for an overnight on full-board accommodation. Day 6:A whole day of Masai Mara Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary,with spectacular game viewing today. You can decide to do two game drives an early (when predators are on the prowl) and an afternoon one.Or cart your lunch boxes after breakfast and spend the whole day in the park. Day 7: cruise to Nairobi Another early morning game drive in Mara.Checking out leisurely as you cruise to Nairobi.
